Abstract: The common European-style range hoods mainly include an inverted cone filter structure and a plane filter plus baffle structure on the market. The flow fields of these two European-style range hoods are numerically simulated and compared quantitatively, after computational fluid dynamics numerical simulation methods. It also analyzes the influence of different air inlet structure forms on the speed and pressure distribution of the range hood, as well as the pollutant trapping capacity, which provides a theoretical basis for the appearance performance evaluation of the air inlet of the range hood, and lays the foundation for the optimized design of the air inlet of the range hood. Comparing the three dimensions of speed, pressure distribution, and oil fume capture, the results show that there is no obvious difference between the speed and pressure field test values. The upper inverted cone filter structure air inlet is more conducive to smoke exhaust.
