Abstract: Temperature rise test is an important safety parameter in the general inspection items of electrical products, and its accuracy is crucial to the quality and performance of products. Many standards do not describe the measurement methods of temperature rise in enough detail, resulting in deviations in the experiment that affect the results. In the ability test to measure the surface temperature rise of electrical products by thermocouple method, it was found that the measurement data in our laboratory was low. We need to find out the reasons affecting the accuracy of the temperature rise data and correct them. Through the use of quality control samples, several fixed materials of the thermocouple and the test environment were compared and analyzed. It was found that the low temperature rise data was due to the poor contact between the thermocouple and the measured surface and the air convection caused by the air conditioning in the measurement environment. Satisfactory results were obtained by using high-temperature tape and controlling air convection in the test environment. The conclusion of this study is conducive to the control and optimization of temperature rise measurement capability.
