Abstract: As a household appliance in the product introduction stage, household kitchen air conditioner holds a promising market outlook; however, the exploration of user demands remains inadequate. To design products that better meet the needs of users, the author conducts innovative design research on household kitchen air conditioning by adopting the customer journey map and the TRIZ theory. Firstly, the customer journey map is drawn based on desk research, questionnaire surveys, and user interviews, and the user needs and opportunity points in the user journey map are analyzed using the peak-end law. Secondly, the problem is investigated by employing the Achshuler contradiction matrix of the TRIZ theory and other tools, and solutions are proposed. Finally, it innovatively designed the operation mode and voice control function of household kitchen air conditioners in various use scenarios, and created the easy-to-clean functional attribute. This provides design ideas and references for household kitchen air conditioning in the future.
