Performance simulation study of range hood under high pipeline pressure

Abstract: In order to solve the problem that the error between simulated and actual value calculated of range hood in the case of high pipeline pressure based on the FLUENT steady-state algorithm, a decompression cylinder model is proposed to be provided at the outlet of simulation model, and pipeline pressure is added by adjusting the area of outlet. Aerodynamic performance, noise and lampblack exhausting of range hood under high pipeline pressure is studied with focus on the error between simulated and actual value. The research results show that the optimization of simulation model has great corrections to simulation data of range hood under high pipeline pressure. The error of simulated aerodynamic performance is 7%, the error of simulated noise is about 10%, and the simulated lampblack exhausting is corresponding to actual situation. The research results have guiding significance for simulated platform construction and performance optimization of range hood.
