Abstract: As one of the necessary consumer goods in people's life, clothing's main function is to protect the human body. However, in the process of wearing, various pollutants in the environment are easily adsorbed on the surface of clothing. In the long run, it not only causes certain damage to clothing, but also becomes a potential secondary source of pollution. With the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, people were particularly concerned about disinfection and sterilization of clothing. The virus transmitted by aerosols was easily absorbed on the surface of the clothes outside the house, and as people returned home and the jitter of their clothes spread to the interior, it was even more important for people to pay special attention to the timely washing and cleaning of clothes in daily life, and to block the possible transmission routes of pollutants. . This paper summarizes the types and hazards of common pollutants on clothing, the principle of pathogenic microorganism sterilization and its application in clothing washing and home appliances, in order to help consumers correctly choose and scientifically use clothing washing and home appliances, improve the level of personal hygiene, and play a certain role in promoting daily protection.
