Abstract: With the continuous development of technology, the HMI (Human-Machine Interface) methods are also evolving. In order to enhance user interaction and operational convenience with air conditioners, especially to address the issue of controlling wall-mounted or ceiling air conditioners when the remote control is not available, the implementation of millimeter-wave radar gesture recognition technology on air conditioners has been designed and tested. The accuracy of air conditioner gesture control, as determined through experimental testing, reached 89%, indicating that the application of millimeter wave radar gesture control on air conditioners is feasible and meaningful.
