Abstract: In response to the issue of excessive low-frequency noise in a certain clothes dryer, this study focuses on a dynamic vibration absorption-based noise reduction solution. Noise source separation and localization were performed using a digital artificial head measurement system. Vibration analysis of the fixed-frequency motor via a vibration testing system identified it as the excitation source of the low-frequency noise. A dynamic vibration absorber was designed based on vibration absorption theory. Experimental results demonstrate that after installing the absorber on the motor's cantilever end: motor vibration velocity decreased by 69.14%, 100 Hz low-frequency noise reduced by 10.3 dB(A), overall noise level dropped by 2.7 dB(A).The solution significantly improves silent operation performance for end-users and provides a novel reference for noise reduction in the clothes dryer industry.
