Abstract: The flow-induced vibration of the structural parts of the air conditioner can cause abnormal noise problems, which greatly affect the user experience and the improvement of the sound quality of the product, and even damage the strength of the structure and cause safety problems. By studing the flow-induced vibration and noise problem of guard filter on air-conditioner air outlet. First, the CFD is used to study the vortex characteristics of the flow around the cylindrical guard filter. And then the modal analysis of the cylindrical guard filter is completed by CAE. Modal analysis determined that the abnormal noise of the guard filter was caused by structural resonance caused by flow-induced excitation. Finally, the structure of the guard filter is optimized to improve the abnormal noise problem.
