Research on several key technologies for revision of GB/T 18801—2015 “Air Cleaner”

Abstract: In recent years, with the decrease of particle concentration in the China's atmospheric and the outbreak of COVID-19, consumers have higher requirements for the indoor air quality and the use of air cleaners. Therefore, GB/T 18801—2015 "Air Cleaner" national standard needs to be modified, especially modifications on requirements, gaseous pollutants removal evaluation, virus removal evaluation, and secondary odor evaluation, etc. Based on large amount of data analysis and several round robin tests, research work has been carried out on the establishment of correlation index, mixed loading test method of gaseous pollutants, virus removal evaluation method, simulated secondary odor evaluation and test method of dynamic balance test method. Based on this research results, the standard GB/T 18801—2015 is modified. These modifications makes the evaluation indexes of air cleaners are more standardized and the test methods are more suitable. The revised standard will play a significant leading role in the industry.
