Abstract: In order to solve the corrosion resistance problem of air conditioning evaporators in special environments, by analyzing the physical characteristics and chemical composition of oxygen free copper (TU2) and high phosphorus copper (TP2), and compares the refrigeration and heating performance of oxygen free copper evaporators and high phosphorus copper evaporators by experimental study. The results indicate that the physical properties of oxygen free copper are similar to those of high phosphorus copper, and its processing and welding properties are the same. The oxygen content in oxygen free copper is low, and its corrosion resistance is high. In the performance test, the machine installed with oxygen free copper evaporator has higher capacity and energy efficiency than high phosphorus copper evaporator. Therefore, replacing high phosphorus copper with oxygen free copper not only improves the corrosion resistance of copper pipes, but also has good heat transfer performance, proving the feasibility of replacing high phosphorus copper with oxygen free copper.
