Abstract: With the increasing severity of global ozone layer destruction and climate warming, the application and development of refrigeration technology has attracted more and more attention from the international community. This paper first briefly introduces the application characteristics of R290 refrigerant, then analyses the design of R290 refrigeration system, and finally from the refrigerant to reduce refrigerant leakage and avoid leakage. The safety measures adopted in the design of refrigerators are discussed from the perspectives of aggregation, flammability and safety, reducing ignition and flammable sources, and strengthening the guidance of user correct use. It is hoped that these viewpoints can provide ideas for the popularization and application of R290 refrigerant.
