Abstract: Electric water heater have two types currently on the market, one is a single heating pipe in the water heater tank bottom, anther is two heating pipe, one in the bottom of the tank, one on the upper part of the tank, and around the outlet. This paper focuses on the temperature rise test about the two mode electric water heater according to the standard of GB 4706.1-1998 and the GB 4706.12-2006, each representative component of three modes is given the temperature rise, and conclude that the third modes of the first heating pipe at the bottom of the tank to stabilize and then switch to the upper electric heating tube to work to stable under this mode, the temperature rise is the highest temperature rise, the temperature rise test is the harshest states.
