Abstract: In recent years, sound quality technology has been widely used in the field of household appliances, and related test methods have tended to be standardized. For example, the group standard T/CAS 341-2019 “Test Method for Sound Quality of Range Hood” provides the modeling method also gives a numerical expression of sound quality through the sound quality index, but the research on sound quality grading is still blank in our country. This paper takes the range hood as an example, combined with subjective evaluation experiments and questionnaire surveys, and uses the categorized volume ratio as the intermediate amount to construct the relationship between the sound quality index and the grading limit. Finally, the classification of range hood products is realized from the sound quality level. It provides a scientific basis for the formulation of noise perception evaluation standards or specifications, and at the same time provides a useful reference for the sound quality evaluation and classification of other household appliances.
