Abstract: Explored the impact of indoor environment on sleep quality, especially in hot environments where people commonly use devices such as air conditioning and fans to regulate indoor temperature, but the use of these devices increases energy consumption. Further exploration was conducted on the relationship between air flow and human thermal comfort, and it was pointed out that air flow can significantly enhance the process of heat loss in the human body, but the complexity of wind speed regulation strategies. In terms of research on thermal comfort during sleep in hot environments, sleep staging and sleep quality evaluation methods were analyzed, including multi-channel sleep monitoring systems (PSG), body movement recorders, and survey questionnaires. It is crucial to build a human physiological heat regulation model and a thermal sensation prediction and evaluation model specifically for sleep states, and to explore the possibility of using smart home appliances and smart homes to construct an intelligent sleep environment control system, in order to reduce energy consumption and improve the comfort of the living environment.
