Test analysis and research on noise reduction effect of sound absorbing cotton for range hood

Abstract: A noise reduction material with both performance and cost is selected to improve the noise reduction performance of the whole machine without reducing the air performance. Compared with the existing noise reduction technologies in household appliance industry, the importance of noise reduction of range hood is expounded, and the noise reduction principle of the main noise sources and absorbing materials of range hood is analyzed. Ordinary felt and two-component cotton were selected as the research objects to test the sound absorption coefficient of the two materials and the noise reduction effect of the two materials on the whole machine. Through the test experiment, the two-component sound absorption cotton showed a good sound absorption effect. At the same time, adding a rubber layer on the surface of the two-component cotton could further improve the noise reduction effect. The research content is of great significance to promote the development of noise reduction of range hood.
