Abstract: The top cover of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner is a sheet metal part with a large area and a thin material thickness, so its structural rigidity is weak, and it is often faced with harsh conditions such as falling and stepping during transportation and installation, and the parts are easily deformed and cause customer complaints. Therefore, it is of great significance to effectively improve the structural rigidity of the roof. Adding stiffeners to the roof is an effective way to improve the stiffness. The structural parameters of the roof stiffeners will be studied, and the ANSYS simulation software will be used to study the influence of the stiffener width, clearance, height and other parameters on the roof stiffness. The results show that the stiffness of the roof can be effectively improved by the stiffeners reasonably, and the height of the stiffeners has the most obvious effect on the stiffness optimization of the roof under the premise of meeting the sheet metal process. An effective optimization method is proposed to improve the rigidity of the roof. It provides important directional guidance on how to improve the rigidity of the roof.
