Prediction of drawer impact noise of refrigerator

Abstract: Factor analysis confirms that impact velocity is the main factor affecting the refrigerator drawer impact noise. According to the second law of classical mechanics, the calculation formula for crash speed of drawer is derived. The relationship between impact velocity and impact noise is obtained experimentally, and we use the logarithmic equation [A×ln(v+B)+C] to fit the prediction formula. Comparing with the experiment, the fitting result has a high coincidence. Theoretical and fitting formulas can be used in the design of refrigerator drawers to quantitatively predict the impact noise. The corresponding parameters can be optimized at the beginning of product design.
