Abstract: In order to measure the deformation and vibration of refrigerator compressor in a non-contact way, a displacement measurement system based on laser sensor was developed. Compared with the traditional micrometer mechanical probe testing method, this method has many advantages, the first is non-contact, the second is that structural vibration can be measured, the third is that data can be recorded and analyzed in real time by measurement software. The refrigerator reciprocating compressor was selected as the measurement and validation objects. The displacement of cylinder cover or connecting rod and vibration of suction valve were tested by the laser sensor testing system. Three methods were used to verify each other, which are laser sensor testing system, micrometer and finite element simulation. The result shows that the data from three methods are in good agreement with each other, which verifies the accuracy of the laser displacement sensor testing system for compressor.
