Abstract: To study the effect of suction refrigerant quality on R32 rotary compressor performance, the calorimeter method with the function of suction refrigerant quality was used to study the performance of compressor by changing the suction refrigerant quality and analyzing theoretical refrigeration cycle. The results showed that: under the condition of superheating, the suction state had little effect on the compressor's volumetric efficiency and isentropic efficiency. Under the condition of two-phase, the compressor's volumetric efficiency and isentropic efficiency decreased with decreasing suction refrigerant quality. Compared to refrigerant superheating suction, the decay ratios of volumetric efficiency and isentropic efficiency were 3.3%, 8.0%, and 8.3%, 14.8%, for suction refrigerant quality ratios of 0.94, 0.88. The actual compressor discharge temperature had a linear correlation with the suction refrigerant quality. Under the condition of two-phase, the mass flow rate is affected by suction density and volumetric efficiency. The capacity and EER had a maximum value at a suction refrigerant quality ratio of 1. Under the condition of two-phase, the attenuation of volumetric efficiency and isentropic efficiency changes the trend of EER curve.
