缔合型碱溶胀增稠剂对水性塑胶涂料性能影响研究

Study on effect of associative alkali swelling thickener on performance of waterborne plastic coatings

摘要: 聚氨酯增稠剂在成膜助剂含量较高的水性涂料体系中增稠效果不佳,而碱溶胀增稠剂在该体系中增稠效果较好。目前对碱溶胀增稠剂研究主要集中在大分子合成及性能研究方面,但对其在水性涂料中的应用公开报道较少。研究碱溶胀增稠剂在单组份水性塑胶涂料中的应用,探讨了增稠剂用量对水性塑胶涂料粘度、存储沉降程度、施工性以及涂层光泽度、耐水性能的影响。结果表明随着增稠剂用量增加,水性涂料粘度从38.3 KU增加至134 KU,沉降程度从2级提升至10级;当用量为0.8%~1.1%时,施工性较佳;光泽度随增稠剂用量的增加呈现先增加后减少的趋势,当用量为0.8%时,光泽度达78.2 GU;涂层耐水煮性能随着增稠剂用量增加而降低,当用量超过1.1%时,涂层水煮起泡,附着力出现异常。研究结果对水性涂料研发具有一定借鉴意义。

Abstract: The thickening effect of polyurethane thickener was not good in the water-based coating system with higher content of film forming additives, but the thickening effect of alkali swelling thickener was good in this system. At present, the research of alkali swelling thickeners mainly focused on the synthesis and properties of macromolecules study, but there were few public reports on their application in water-based coatings. The application of alkali swelling thickener in single-component waterborne plastic coatings was studied, and the effects of the amount of thickener on the viscosity, storage settlement, construction property, gloss and water resistance of the coating were discussed. The results show that the viscosity of waterborne coatings was increased from 38.3 KU to 134 KU, and the settlement degree was increased from 2 to 10 with the increase of the dosage of thickener. When the dosage is 0.8%~1.1%, the construction performance is better; Glossiness showed a trend of first increase and then decrease with the increase of the thickener. When the amount of the thickener was 0.8%, glossiness was up to 78.2 GU. Coatings boiling resistance with the increase of the thickener and then reduced, when the amount of more than 1.1%, bubbler was coming out after coatings boiled and coatings adhesion was abnormal.
